ABOUT US

Peak Therapeutics is a family owned and operated company created by a veterinarian, Dr. James Gaynor in 2017. We were fed up with the wild west approach of the CBD industry and couldn’t trust the products on the market, so we created our own. Our mission has always been to utilize the many benefits of CBD and create a product with full transparency for our clients. Peak Therapeutics prides ourselves on providing a consistent, clean CBD product which we oversee from seed to delivery that you can always trust. We test in every stage of production to make sure we are providing the best product for our clients.

Mission

The mission of Peak Therapeutics is to provide high quality products in a manner of integrity in order to help preserve the human-animal bond.

THE GROW

We searched far and wide for the best Hemp strain and after years of searching we finally acquired “PT Frostys 808” This is our proprietary strain that has a high CBD ratio with many beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes. We have a few farmers that grow for us in the Rocky Mountains using only the best organic methods. The plants start from seed in early May, develop into vegetative state until mid-August and finish from August to October in their flowering stage. In September we test our plants to find the best time to harvest to get the most beneficial results for harvesting. This is also the time the State of Colorado will test our plants to make sure Peak Therapeutics is compliant with all state and federal laws.

THE EXTRACTION PROCESS

Once Peak Therapeutics proprietary strain is harvested, we have it extracted using the cleanest method possible. That method is a CO2 extraction using beverage grade CO2. We run sub-critical parameters during extraction to separate cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis, producing high-quality concentrates. We do not winterize due to these parameters. We do not utilize any hydrocarbon or synthesized solvents, including ethanol in any of our processes. As a result, there are never any residual solvents in our products. No ethanol, no pentane, no hexane…just pure hemp extract.

We do not do the actual extraction process but have found the best Colorado based company that we fully trust with our products. They are certified organic, cGMP certified, US Hemp Authority certified, and FDA registered. These agencies require our extractor to have the systems and processes in place to ensure quality, purity, and traceability. Our extractor can trace a finished product back through every processing step all the way to a specific bag of biomass. They have a recall SOP and they do mock recalls annually on manufactured and received ingredient products to ensure their system is effective. Our extractor is audited annually by 3rd parties to ensure compliance to these standards.

Our extractor does third party testing before we receive our extracted oil– Our products undergo 3rd party testing by an ISO 17025 qualified lab. Our extractor has never failed any required tests (pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, microbials, mycotoxins, potency).

The Final Process

After the oil has been extracted from the hemp plant,  we make our custom formulations. Dr Gaynor and other professionals worked up numerous batches until we found the best possible formulations for our products. We do all our 3rd party testing and bottling here in our home state of Colorado. Our bottling facility abides by a GMP Certification to ensure our products are safe and handled with the professionalism you trust and deserve.

All our products, animal and human, meet the State of Colorado standards for human consumption.
