Your Questions Are important to Us

We’re doing our best to help you answer common questions you may have about Peak Therapeutics products, so you can be an informed and empowered consumer of our products. If for any reason you don’t see your questions answered or concerns addressed below, please feel free to contact us.

How is your product shipped?

We use United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail. There is an option for Express mail. We generally ship Monday through Friday. Virtually all orders are shipped the next business day.  It typically takes 2-5 days to arrive depending on your location. We will contact you if we expect a delay.

How does Pick Up in Frisco work?

If you elect to pick up your order in Frisco, we require a minimum of 2 business days. We will contact you when your order is ready. You can then pick the order up at Frisco Animal Hospital.

Where can I purchase your products?

Some veterinarians and other animal health professionals carry our Pet products.  If your veterinarian does not offer our products ask them to contact us. Most people purchase our Pet and People products directly from our website.

Can I use a flavored Pet product if my pet has food allergies?

Yes. Our bacon, beef and chicken flavors contain no animal protein.  They are plant derived, vegan flavors.

What does hemp extract and full spectrum mean?

All of our CBD products come from the hemp plant, NOT marijuana. We use a carbon dioxide (no alcohol) extraction to produce a full-spectrum product. A full-spectrum extraction means that our products have CBD plus other cannabinoids and a variety of terpenes.  This allows for an entourage effect where all the components can contribute to a beneficial effect, much more than one isolated component.

Will my pet or I get “high” from your CBD?

All of our products have less than 0.3% THC, which makes it hemp and not marijuana.  As such, it would be very, very uncommon to get any intoxicating effect from any of our CBD products.

Why does the color vary sometimes from order to order?

We perform several extractions per year. Since this is a natural product, color may vary from batch to batch. We do not add any colors. The CBD content is the same.

Do you test your product?

Our product is tested multiple times. We test the plant while it is still in the ground to assess cannabinoid content. After the initial extraction, we analyze for cannabinoid and terpene content, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals and organic matter. We then test the final product to be sure the content matches the label. Very few CBD companies analyze their product as much as we do.

How long will a bottle of CBD last?

The time a bottle will last depends on the daily dose. All Pet CBD products ship with a dosing chart. This chart shows doses and how many days the bottle will last. This chart is also in the Dosing section under the Learn menu.

Are there any medications I should not use with CBD?

There is very little known interaction at our recommended conventional doses (0.5-2.2 mg/kg).  At much higher doses (10-20 mg/kg), there can be interactions in humans with a number of drugs. Pets and People who are taking opioids, and certain anticonvulsants may develop drowsiness.  Lowering the dose of CBD will solve the problem.

How long does it take to see an effect from CBD?

Some People and Pets develop an effect within an hour or so.  Because CBD is fat soluble, the peak effect is likely within 14 -21 days after appropriate daily dosing.  At that point, if there is a desirable effect, you can try decreasing the dose.  If not, you can increase it. Of course, you can always increase the dose earlier.

Are there potential side effects to taking CBD?

Side effects are very uncommon with CBD. All Pets and People are individuals, so occasionally someone may have a minor side effect, such as drowsiness. If that occurs, lowering the dose will typically solve it. At higher doses, some dogs develop a non-clinical increase in liver enzymes.

Where can I get a discount code?

Discount codes are available through our Affiliates, veterinarians, pet professionals   and other animal lovers.  If your veterinarian is not an Affiliate, discuss it with him/her.  Discount codes are also available periodically on our Facebook and Instagram pages and via email to our customers.  They often come out around special events.  Be sure to Like our Facebook page so you will be in the loop on discounts and new products

How do I change a Subscription?

You can update any aspect of your account at any time. To change your Subscription, log into your account. Click on My Subscriptions on the left. Follow the prompts. Be sure to proceed all the way through a no-cost Checkout.

Can I return a product?

If you are having a problem with a product, please contact us so we can help you.  If you have received a product after a pet has died, you can return it to us for a full refund.
